Gender bias - in horses?!

Article Abstract:

Equine behaviorists and experienced trainers and non-pros have different opinions regarding gender bias in horses. Some experts feel there could be a history of abuse or mistreatment of certain gender or that horses do not fear predators but fear predatory behavior while some believe that it is an excuse for poor or inadequate training.

I really need some help my horse gets to nervous and scared to go in the alley-way. As soon as we get him into the alley-way he starts spinning in circles and slamming up against the wall. HELP!!!!!
