Goal train
Article Abstract:
Most training programs involving focus exclusively on building an aerobic base or on one-dimensional exercises. Swimmers need a different type of muscle-building exercises that will mimic the movements they do in water. They therefore ought to engage in sport-specific or functional strength training. Such training programs incorporate the elements of balance and coordination that they need more of in water. A series of swim-specific, functional strength training exercises are presented.
