In Washington and Oregon: jackrabbit heyday appears to be over
Article Abstract:
People in Washington are asked to report jack rabbit sightings to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife because there seems to be very few rabbits left in the state. A moratorium has been placed on jackrabbit hunting. Oregon's numbers have also declined, but the state considers them a nuisance and they may be hunted.
