In the mangroves
Article Abstract:
Tropical storms at sea are unpredictable but even experienced sailors sometimes do not heed weather forecasts in the belief the storm is too far away to affect them. A couple sailing on Dreamer, a 44-foot steel ketch, recount the horror of being caught in the midst of Hurricane Iris in the northwest Caribbean when 80-knot winds slammed their boat into the mangroves.
