Tillie's tenets
Article Abstract:
A brief sampling of the writings of legendary golf course designer Albert W. Tillinghast, most of them written during the period of 1916-1936 is presented. Tillie, as he was affectionately known, is responsible for the designs of such great courses as Baltusrol, Winged Foot, and Quaker Ridge.

Congressional reform
Article Abstract:
The Congressional Country Club, which is the site of the 1995 US Senior Open, was rebuilt in 1990. Architect Rees Jones recontoured the fairways and eliminated many blind shots to make play on the course more fair.
