Energy cost of activity assessed by indirect calorimetry and a (sup)13CO(sub)2 breath test
Article Abstract:
This article evaluates the accuracy of a breath test used to measure the energy costs associated with an hour of physical activity. Findings indicate that there were no significant differences in energy cost estimates obtained by the breath test and the clinically established method of indirect calorimetry.
