Jamaica's mystic peak: Blue Mountain may be the centerpiece for the island's first national park
Article Abstract:
The 7,404-foot high Blue Mountain area of Jamaica and the surrounding 193,000-acre forest range will become the country's first national park if supporters succeed in securing financing and other assistance. The US Agency for International Development and the Nature Conservancy are working with the Jamaican Conservation and Development Trust on the project.

Vancouver's Carmanah Park

Carmanah Pacific Provincial Park is a rain forest located on the west side of Vancouver Island. The park, which has three camping areas, is home to spruce groves, moss-covered trees, and several varieties of ferns.
