Herbert Kainzinger's V-Max motorcycle features a 1,680-cc engine with a quartet of downdraft 41-mm Keihin flat-side carburetors. Kainzinger claims that the superbike can provide 240 rear-wheel horsepower. The bike also features carbon-fiber bodywork, titanium fasteners and chain-drive conversion.

Motorcycles may be improved by incorporating active control of suspension dampers and engine braking. The clutch lever may also be eliminated and a hand lever may also be installed to control rear brake operation. The aerodynamics of motorcycles may also be enhanced to increase top speeds.

France-based Voxan has developed a state-of-the-art sport motorcycle called the Cafe Racer that will be available in Europe by year 2000. Cafe Racer, priced at $12,500 and designed by renowned chassis constructor Alain Chevallier, is not yet on being launched in the US market.
