Article Abstract:
Charter skipper James Plaag was fighting a tarpon off Galveston, TX, when the fish jumped into his center console fishing boat. The fish, which was under legal size, flopped angrily for several minutes before Plaag and his crew were able to get it back into the water.

The whitetail deer rut in southern states typically begins in mid-November, but breeding behavior starts even later in some states. In Texas and Florida, mating occurs almost every month. The deer rut spans more than five months of the year.

The giant of the South Seas

In 1930 the author Zane Grey caught a giant marlin off the coast of Tahiti. After five and a half hours the first fish over 1,000 pounds to be caught on rod and reel was landed. Only one other fish of this size has ever been caught.
