Loosers keepers: slim guys may spare the prostate
Article Abstract:
A study of men between 40-75 years of age indicates that excess abdominal fat may have a relationship to prostate gland difficulty. Men who were larger than 43 inches at the waist had twice the chance of having enlarged prostate glands, compared with men who had waists 35 inches or less.

Research indicates that reducing fats in the diet may reduce the healthy HDL cholesterol in the blood along with total cholesterol by 16% to 17%. Weight loss, however, seems to help HDL cholesterol levels to rise again.
