A low-pressure, tip-based strategy is mentioned that will help to avoid mental and physical overloading on a young horse while preparing it for a first show or futurities. With this strategy the horse will enter the show pen with confidence and relaxation needed to perform to the best of his ability, rather than with the pressure fueled anxiety that can blow a run and his mind.
