Only 24 boats entered the 1995 Rolex IMS International Championships at Oyster Bay, NY, but competition was top class. Art Conway's 'High Noon' won the inshore series while Helmut Jahn's 'Flash Gordon 2' won the offshore competition.

The Dec 1995 Sailfest on Lake Monroe in Florida attracted 532 one-design sailboats. The Sailfest began as a local regatta in the 1970s and has grown to one of the largest and best one-design events in the US.
