Moving up: what does it take to move from the 10-K to the marathon?
Article Abstract:
Marathon training, unlike that for the 10-K, is specifically about milage, and starting to train early in life. Style rather than body type is the key to winning marathons, although winners seem to be smaller than 10-K winners. The pain factor, and the runner's mindset are also different.
