Tennis player Thomas Muster assumed the top position in the ATP Tour rankings in Feb. 1996. Muster became the world's top-ranked tennis player, over more deserving players such as Andre Agassi, Boris Becker and Pete Sampras, by virtue of the ATP's skewed ratings system.
