A January 2040 dawn, where all the Caribbean-bound cruises have departed the mooring field in St. George's, Bermuda is described. Armed with a direct link to weather satellites and the ability to update his own chart databases, a member of the Captain Cook Club keeps one eye on his anchorage and the other on the world's ocean.

Chartless in Canada
Article Abstract:
Navionics and C-Map have stopped selling the Canadian chart cards due to increase in royalties. The Canadian Hydrographic service (CHS) and Nautical Data International (NDI), the two chart companies fear that the increase in royalties would double the retail chart card prices.
