Beaudoin, Beaudoin and Fry were high-school teachers who first got into the worm business in 1977 through a disastrous pyramid scheme. Undaunted, they invested in night crawlers, learned how to raise, sell and ship worms by trial and error, and are now the main suppliers to 5,100 stores nationwide.
