Physical activity and cancer prevention-mechanisms
Article Abstract:
The biological link between cancer development and exercise or physical activity and the multiple mechanisms that may be operative which vary with individual characteristics like age, gender, race, genetics, stage of carcinogenesis, type of cancer and type of exercise is discussed. The study on both animal and human epidemiological model suggested that regular, moderate physical activity would reduce the risk of developing cancer.

Physical activity and cancer prevention: animal-tumor models
Article Abstract:
The design of research studies involves animal models in physical activity and cancer where each model informs a specific aspect of the carcinogenesis process and its influence by physical activity. It was stated that there was no model, which would be suitable for all aspect of physical activity, cancer protection and cancer control.

N-acetyl-L-cysteine inhibits exercise-induced protein alterations
Article Abstract:
The effect of strenuous exercise and antioxidant administration on pro- and antiapoptotic protein expression in intestinal lymphocytes is investigated. The results suggest that oxidative stress acting through a mitochondrial pathway may play a role in intestinal lymphocyte apoptosis after strenuous exercise.
