Postexercise muscle glycogen recovery enhanced with a carbohydrate-protein supplement
Article Abstract:
The effect of supplementation type carbohydrate (CHO) vs carbohydrate-protein (C +P) as well as timing (early vs 4 h following strenuous exercise) on glycogen resynthesis and repeat exercise performance was studied. Results showed that C + P supplements given early during a 6-h recovery period yielded significantly greater muscle glycogen resynthesis versus isoenergetic liquid CHO supplements or an isoenergetic solid meal consumed 4 h into recovery.

Effect of high-volume and intensity endurance training in heart transplant recipients
Article Abstract:
The effect of the high-volume and -intensity exercise training on exercise performance in heart transplant recipients (HTR), compared with HTR undergoing regular rehabilitation training, and sedentary health subjects (SHS) is examined. The given data suggest that HTR can perform high-volume and -intensity exercise training, reaching exercise performance comparable to or even exceeding values of sedentary or moderately trained healthy subjects.
