Predicting vigorous physical activity of corporate employees: comparing the theories of reasoned action and planned behavior
Article Abstract:
The willingness of corporate employees to join exercise programs was studied using reasoned action and planned behavior as predictors. It was postulated that performance of a certain behavior depended on a person's beliefs and intentions. Evaluation of responses from an exercise ability questionaire indicated that intentions to exercise were influenced by perceptions of control which is consistent with the theory of planned behavior. Perceived control predicted behavioral change irregardless of intention which is converse to the theory of reasoned action.

An examination of the transtheoretical model and exercise behavior in older adults
Article Abstract:
A study to evaluate the relationship between stages of change and the constructs of process of change, self-efficacy, and decision balance reveals that 5 out of 10 processes of change, self-efficacy and both pros and cons help remarkably in distinguishing between the stages. The use of the process of change fluctuates across the stages and self-efficacy increases from precomtemplation to maintenance. Intervention design and ideas for further research are discussed.

Critical flicker frequency threshold increment after an exhausting exercise
Article Abstract:
The effect of an incremental test to exhaustion on sensory sensitivity using critical flicker fusion (CFF) frequency is studied. The CF threshold protocols appear to be relevant for assessing the effect of exercise on sensory sensitivity and cortical arousal.
