Pyruvate: beyond the marketing hype
Article Abstract:
More research is needed to establish direct links between pyruvate and exercise performance. Pyruvate, a three-carbon ketoacid, converts either of two ways in the body, dictated by metabolic conditions. It is reduced to lactate or is decarboxylated oxidatively to acetyl CoA. While marketing promotions play up positive results, limitations are not discussed.

Velocities and accelerations of body parts during standing: association with visual information
Article Abstract:
The maximal velocities and accelerations of balancing movements during a two-leg stance with eyes open and closed is evaluated and compared. The influence of visual information on movement values was found to be significant.
