Quick fixes for 7 common dive injuries
Article Abstract:
Preventive measures for seven common dive injuries are presented. These injuries are jellyfish stings, scrapes and cuts, ear pain, hypothermia, lower back pain, seasickness and jaw pain. Cuts and jellyfish stings and can be avoided by wearing a full-length exposure suit. Ear pains can be prevented by pre-pressurizing the ears and descending slowly. Seasickness can be avoided by minimizing motion and not eating foods that are greasy or hard to digest.

10 pocket-sized dive lights
Article Abstract:
Ten pocket-sized dive light models that are ideal for daytime dives or clear-water nights were evaluated for their maximum intensity, peripheral intensity and battery life. Five of the 10 models are four-C lights, while four are four-AA lights and one is a six-AA light. The three best rated lights are the Princeton Tec 400 four-C model and the Underwater Kinetics SL4 four-C model and the Ikelite PCa six-AA model.
