Local mountain bike races are enjoyable events which are typically conducted in scenic state parks and forests. There are also minor events which bikers' families can join. The most enjoyable aspect is the sense of companionship shown by participants without the stiff competition found in professional events.

Miguel Indurain was the winner of the 1992 Tour de France. The average speed during the race was 24.49 miles per hour, a new record. Indurain's cycling style is graceful and beautiful.
