Self-determination, coping, and goal attainment in sport
Article Abstract:
A two-wave design is used to test a model that incorporates motivational orientations, coping dimensions, goal attainment, and effective states among athletes. Path analyses using EQS revealed that self-determination toward sport positively predicted the use of the task-oriented coping strategies during a stressful sport competition, while non-self-determined motivation predicted the use of disengagement-oriented coping strategies.

Confirmatory factor analysis of the Subjective Exercise Experience Scale among children
Article Abstract:
The Subjective Exercise Experiences Scale has been found to be a valid means of assessing exercise and affect in children. The model's accuracy was improved through identification and analysis of residuals and modification index terms. Examination of subscale scores both pre- and postexercise support the scale's construct validity and its multisample generalizability.
