Showmanship is a graceful ballet between the rider and his horse where the judges judge them on the way they walk and trot and how well they move in unison. Few tips are provided on how to familiarize with the arena and the pattern markers' position.

Article Abstract:
Tips from top reining trainer and judge to nail maneuvers five through eight of NRHA reining pattern 9 are discussed. It is concluded that the horse should hesitate after a stop to show completion of a pattern and that will be a winning score.
