Pialug's most recent expedition is described where he and his men used 2 canoes, which were built in 1970 and 1969. It had 14 men on the large canoe and 23 men used only the stars, clouds, waves and wind to carry them out of sea and home again, perpetuating a centuries-old tradition of the Micronesian atolls.
