Article Abstract:
A remote island about 300 miles southwest of Costa Rica's Pacific coast, Cocos Island, is well known for its diverse wildlife, especially sharks. Its lush, tropical foliage and steep, rocky shores looks like it has been lost and forgotten and time has stood still since the volcanic basalt that forms the land rose from the depths of sea more than 2 million years ago.
