Single-leg landing strategy after knee-joint cryotherapy
Article Abstract:
A study compares net vertical ground-reaction force, maximum knee-flexion angle, and average muscle activity during single-leg landings from a forward jump before and after a 20-minute knee-joint cryotherapy treatment. Findings show that cryotherapy does not significantly change maximum knee-joint flexion, vertical ground-reaction force, or average muscle activity during a single-leg landing, leading to the conclusion that knee-joint cryotherapy might not place the lower extremity at risk during landing.

Proximal humeral epiphyseal plate fracture in a collegiate track and field decathlete: a case study
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the case of an 18-year-old college-going decathlete with a Salter-Harris type I epiphyseal plate fracture of the proximal humerus. Evidence suggests the possibility of an appropriate conservative rehabilitation program to safely return an athlete to participation without permanent deformity.

Cryotherapy does not affect peroneal reaction following sudden inversion
Article Abstract:
A study aims to compare peroneal reaction to sudden inversion following ankle joint cryotherapy. The results conclude that cryotherapy does not affect peroneal muscle reaction following sudden inversion.
