Slate wipers: New Zealand mud snails are moving into the nation's best trout streams- and nobody can stop them
Article Abstract:
The New Zealand mud snails are moving into the US best trout streams, the Firehole, the Sacramento, the Green or the favorite river and are laying their waste into it. They consume at least 75 percent of the primary production in the Polecat Creek, while in some waters they are estimated to be consuming over 90 percent of the primary productivity.

Golden trout: beating around the Bush
Article Abstract:
The translocation and planting of the golden trout that evolved in the Kern Plateau of southern Sierra Nevada and its endangered status is discussed. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is trying to consider placing the golden trout on the endangered species list.
