Slope rage
Article Abstract:
Ski resorts report increased aggressive behavior on ski slopes, a problem referred to as 'slope rage.' Improvements in equipment and slope maintenance have reduced the time needed to learn to ski, while making skiing conditions faster. The most serious aspect of the problem is the negative impact on safety in a fast and dangerous sport. Industry groups, such as the National Ski Areas Association, have initiated programs to educate new skiers on etiquette, patrol the slopes for instances of abuse, and rescind the privileges of recalcitrant offenders.
