Houston Astros pitcher Billy Wagner was hit in the head by a line drive in a 1998 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks' Kelly Stinnett. Wagner has recovered and is prepared to throw his legendary fastballs. The 27 year-old Wagner had a difficult childhood and has had to overcome many hardships on his road to professional baseball.

Little seems to be known about Roger Maris, the man who held baseball's home run record from 1961-1998, even though he won two Most Valuable Player Awards and appeared in seven World Series. Maris possessed speed, a strong throwing arm, and occasionally fueded with both coaches and the press.
