Stability of the blood lactate-heart rate relationship in competitive athletes
Article Abstract:
The blood lactate markers and heart rate in competitive athletes may remain quite stable during the training year. Researchers compared the physiology of spring versus fall conditioning in 13 speed skaters. Although output was consistently lower in the less conditioned state, there were no differences in the lactate-heart rate relationship overall. A single evaluation may therefore become a useful training markers over time.

Evdence for restricted muscle blood flow during speed skating
Article Abstract:
Research about ways in which speed skating restricts blood flow to muscles is presented. Maximum skating oxygen desaturation, blood lactate accumulation, and physiological responses during skating are discussed.

Metabolic responses associated with deer hunting
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that deer hunting elicits an elevated heart rate compared with heart rates during treadmill exercise tests. Results are based on a study of 16 males 20-28 years old.
