Sure stroke: can the two-stroke outboard survive the EPA? The OMC says yes

The Outboard Motor Corp has developed a new technology for its 1997 two-stroke engines. The Ficht Fuel Injection system will clean up exhaust pollution. The test results of the engine which is called the Johnson 150 Faststrike Ficht, are presented.

Save your outboard's life

NMMA TC-W3 is a new standard for motor oil for outboard engines devised by engine manufacturers and the National Marine Manufacturers Association. The oil will have a 50% increase in dispersant additives to prevent carbon deposit buildups.
