Surgery? Stop the NSAIDs
Article Abstract:
A study of the medical records of 165 patients who underwent hip replacement surgery indicates that those patients who refrained from taking NSAID's prior to surgery had fewer post-operative bleeding complications than those who took NSAID's. NSAID's should not be taken 24 hours before surgery.

Good for yew
Article Abstract:
Taxol, a drug obtained from the bark of yew trees, has proven very effective in the treatment of ovarian cancer. New studies indicate it might be equally as effective against breast cancer. The drug will be filed for approval by the FDA later this year.
