A sailor describes his experience in cruising from Puget Sound to Juneau, Alaska, to view the Inside Passage. Waters of Puget Sound, where the bottom tends to be fairly regular, the great glaciers that formed British Columbia and Alaska gouged and scraped it into deep canyons between high rocky mountains.
