Tequila sunrise: could two men in a 22' Whaler survive the 587-mile Gulf crossing?
Article Abstract:
Two men crossing the Gulf of Mexico in a 22-ft Boston Whaler Revenge had to waste some of their fuel fighting a storm and then faced changing to a more efficient propeller in open seas. They completed the crossing from Louisiana to Mexico with in 66 hours with 40 gallons of gas to spare.

A boating trip from Freeport, TX, with a stop-over in South Padre Island onto La Pesca, Mexico, was described. The speed of the cruise, the oil-drilling structures encountered in the Gulf of Mexico and sights shown on reaching La Pesca was described.
