The care and feeding of your running shoes
Article Abstract:
Recommendations for the care of running shoes are presented. Shoes may be kept odor free by making sure they are dry and by using remedies such as baking soda. Neither clothes dryers nor direct sunlight should be used in the drying of running shoes. These and other recommendations are discussed.

Boston: an appreciation
Article Abstract:
A runner fondly recalls the first time he ran in the Boston Marathon, in 1965 when he was a college freshman. The marathon is preceded only by the Olympic Marathon, which makes Boston the birthplace of running in the US.
