There are a number of sports figures that also have become popular as public speakers, earning between $10,000 and $25,000 per speech. The appeal and earnings of Tommy Lasorda, Terry Bradshaw, Red Auerbach, Pat Riley, Tom Landry, Bill Walsh, Mickey Mantle and Mike Ditka are discussed.

Racing driver Rick Mears won the 1991 Indianapolis 500 to become only the third driver in history to win the event four times. Mears, at age 40, is hoping to be the first to make it to the five-, or even six-win plateau. Mears' career and attitude toward racing are discussed.
