Leaky portlights
Article Abstract:
Aluminum-frame non-opening portlights gradually develop leaks over time. Applying sealant around the portlight assembly is ineffective. Thus, it is best to remove the portlight, clean and then remount it. This can be done in a few hours with the proper materials at hand.

Cut your keel keep your boat
Article Abstract:
A boating enthusiast was able to reduce the draft of his boat's keel by cutting a portion off and adding bulbs on the sides. Cutting was done with a chain saw and the resulting product produced no discernible difference in the boat's motion.
