Runners faced with the question of how fast they should run can have more than one answer depending on the particular stage of their running life. When runners first begin running they usually try to run as fast as possible, but later they realize they only have to run as fast as needed.

A runner decided that it is his mind that tried to force him to run on days when he just does not want to. His body may be tired and need a break, although his mind is forcing the issue. Discipline and consistency is important, but paralyzing runner's block makes him listen to his body.
