Shotgunning requires that the shooter not shoot until truly ready. Trap or skeet shooters must look at each shot as separate, not as part of a round. It is important to be determined and aggressive. Fear of missing can cause failure. A good gun mount is a necessity.

The American shotgun
Article Abstract:
Shotguns popular in England during the 1800's were intended primarily for the gentry, who used them for the sporting hunt. During that time in the US, a more practical gun was needed. Americans preferred the rifle. Browning's Model 97 Winchester filled the bill.
