The legacy of Jim Corbett

Corbett was an Englishman born in India who worked as a shikari, or forest officer. He was famous for being able to track and kill the man-eating tigers that roamed the foothills of the Himalayas. He was instrumental in preventing the animals' extinction.

Down and dirty: when the deer get scarce, go in low and slow

Tips for hunting white-tailed deer are described, especially when the deer realize that hunters are in the woods. A tactic called "down and dirty" requires hunters to get on their hands and knees and search where deer have been and may rest.
