The liveaboard cruisers
Article Abstract:
Judges of the cruising world distinguished the liveaboard cruisers in two groups, one having the Bavaria 49 and the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49 and the other the Island packet 370 and the Hallberg-Rassy 40. Though, Hallberg Rassy 40 was declared as the best liveaboard cruising boat, any of the four would make good long-term homes.

A new contest for new boats
Article Abstract:
According to Bill lee, racers want seconds per mile from their boats but cruisers want miles per day. It is reported that the boat that performs well and has a lot of accommodation space but no bilge, begins to defeat the purpose of a cruising boat because it forces one to stow gear, store and equipment.
