Hubbard uses his Treein' Walker hounds to track bear. He drive along the snowline of a mountain in his pickup until his dogs find a scent. With electronic collar transmitters, the hounds run ahead and bay or tree a bear, which Hubbard then releases. He trains pups only on bear, on hot trails.

Clyde Morton was probably the best bird dog handler ever, winning a remarkable 11 National Bird Dog Championships with seven dogs during the 1930s. The secret to Morton's success was his immense love for dogs and enormous patience.
