The absence of tennis champions Jimmy Connors, Andre Agassi, and Pete Sampras during the dedication of the Arthur Ashe Stadium at the USTA National Tennis Center is cause for criticism. Whatever reasons the players had for not attending cannot be justified due to the importance of the occasion.
