Research indicates that losing weight can reduce the pain suffered by women with osteoarthritis (OA) in their knees and that Vitamin C and D can slow the progression of OA. A loss of 10 pounds was sufficient to significantly reduce OA pain.

Folate vs. rectal cancer

A dietary study of men and women shows that folic acid, found in fruits and vegetables, can reduce the risk of developing rectal cancer. Increased folate intake reduced cancer risk by as much as 50%.
