The trials of '96
Article Abstract:
The qualifying trials for the bicycling team that will compete in the 1996 Olympics will begin in May 1996. Both amateur and professional cyclists will be allowed to compete. Trials will be held in Charlotte, NC, Lehigh Valley, PA, Martinsburg, WV, and Wheeling, WV.

Under pressure
Article Abstract:
Greg LeMond won the east coast's Tour Du Pont race by completing 1,006 miles in less than 45 hours. LeMond's victory was his first in the US since 1985, and he hopes to continue his career for several more seasons, even though he still worries before he races.

The amazing vanishing velodrome controversy circles the track in Atlanta
Article Abstract:
The Olympic velodrome in Atlanta's Stone Mountain Park is only a temporary track and is expected to be removed after the 1996 Games. Future Olympians have also complained about the quality of the track.
