Heart rate variability after isocaloric exercise bouts of different intensities
Article Abstract:
The cardiac autonomic modulation, through heart rate variability (HRV), after exercise bouts at 50% (LO) and 80% (HI) of VO2 reserve (VO2R) is examined. Results reveal that exercise at 50% VO2R caused less of a shift in the cardiac autonomic balance, with a quicker restoration of vagal modulation than exercise at 80% VO2R.

Prior resistance training and sex influence muscle responses to arm suspension
Article Abstract:
A study carried out to determine whether level used before arm suspension and sex differences influence the magnitude of muscle atrophy and functional changes in response to 21d of skeletal muscle arm suspension is discussed. The smaller initial training prior disuse could attenuate the loss in muscular endurance.
