A stonefly nymph pattern called the Wired Stone, which is found to be one of the most productive patterns, is discussed. The materials used for the tails and legs of the Wired Stone are goose biots, which are found to be durable and readily available.

Understanding carp behavior

Tactics to catch common carp in shallow-water is discussed. Nonfeeding fish including sunbathers, hellraisers, and cruisers while tailing or clooping fish are found to be easier to take on a fly.
