Bizarre transit police force raises security questions
Article Abstract:
The loopholes in Californian laws related to public transit police forces are highlighted based on the example of a recent Ferrari accident in which, the passenger with criminal records claimed to be a deputy police commissioner working for San Gabriel Valley Transit Authority. Investigations also revealed that SGVTA was also maintaining its own police force.

The benefits of commuters time and money savings obtained through the use of public transit have led to increased demand for the service. The development and advantages of Safe, Accountable, Flexible and Efficient Transportation Act which is designed to make public transit a mode of commuters first choice are discussed.
