Popularity of new starts outgrows available funding
Article Abstract:
Given the increased support of Americans toward the investments in public transportation, it is estimated that transit industry needs more than $40 billion in funding for completing its projects. But the current physical condition and service performance of the nation's transit systems require more than $20 billion dollars in federal funding.
